Unlocking America’s Outdoor Treasures: The Military Lifetime Pass
Did you know U.S. military Veterans and Gold Star households can access America’s public lands for free? The America the Beautiful Military Lifetime Pass offers complimentary entry to over 2,000 federal recreation sites, including national parks, wildlife refuges, and forests, making it easier than ever for Veterans and their families to explore the great outdoors. This pass covers entry fees and day-use charges at sites managed by the National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Enjoy Free Entry on Veterans Day
On Veterans Day, November 11, all National Park Service sites that charge an entrance fee are free for everyone. This is part of several “free entrance days” at more than 400 national parks in 2024. Please note, the entrance fee waiver does not cover additional user fees such as camping, boat launches, transportation, or special tours.
Additionally, on Veterans Day, November 11, the U.S. Forest Service waives recreational fees at most day-use sites on lands it manages. The agency has also released its list of free entrance days in 2025.
