Delta Sky Club Charlotte: Inside the New Luxury Lounge Experience

Delta Sky Club at Charlotte Airport

Delta Air Lines has officially opened its first-ever Sky Club at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport (CLT) on December 18. This new lounge, spanning over 14,000 square feet, is strategically located in the recently expanded Concourse A on the mezzanine level. Designed to offer a luxurious and seamless travel experience, it introduces Delta’s signature hospitality to one of the nation’s busiest airports.

According to Claude Rossell, Delta’s vice president of Sky Club and lounge experience, “It’s always exciting to plant roots in a new market and introduce Delta Sky Club to a new group of customers. We can’t wait for our Charlotte guests to experience the amenities and hospitality that have made our clubs so popular across the country.”

The lounge offers an expansive space with panoramic airfield views, setting it apart as a top-tier airport retreat. Guests can enjoy the following amenities:

  • Soundproof phone booths for uninterrupted conversations.
  • Comfortable lounge chairs designed for relaxation.
  • An upgraded business center equipped for productivity.
  • A bar overlooking the concourse, providing stunning airport views.

With a capacity for up to 246 guests, the Sky Club is a haven for eligible passengers, offering an elevated experience in line with Delta’s commitment to quality and comfort.

Eligible passengers can access the Sky Club up to three hours before their flight departure. For connecting passengers, access is available anytime on the same travel day. Entry is granted to members with:

  • A Delta Sky Club membership.
  • A Delta Reserve credit card.
  • An Amex Platinum card.

Starting February 1, 2025, Delta will introduce new access policies to address overcrowding, including capping visits at 15 per year for Reserve cardholders and 10 for Amex Platinum cardholders. Unlimited access remains for cardholders who spend $75,000 or more annually on their accounts.

Charlotte has long been a hub for American Airlines, hosting two Admirals Clubs in Concourses A and B. However, Delta’s expansion in Charlotte signifies its growing presence, with numerous daily domestic flights connecting Charlotte to major hubs like Atlanta, Boston, Detroit, Minneapolis, New York-LGA, New York-JFK, and Salt Lake City. This connectivity enhances Delta’s offering for both business and leisure travelers.
